Tatajuba is a small, remote village in the municipality of Camocim in Ceará, between Jericoacoara and Camocim, surrounded by large moving dunes. The kite spot is the wide river mouth and the shallow lagoon next to it, where the trade winds blow over flat, warm water. The season runs from about July to January, when the east to north-east wind is strong and steady almost every day, and Tatajuba has hosted a stop of the Big Air Kite League.

Tatajuba is quieter and more basic than Jericoacoara, with a few pousadas and beach huts, and most riders arrive by buggy or 4x4 along the beach or on a downwinder from Jeri via Guriú. The tide changes the spot a lot, so check the times with a local school. It is also a natural stop between Jeri and the Piauí spots further west.
